March is Women’s History Month, and Florida State University has planned a myriad of events to celebrate this year’s theme of “Women’s Education, Women’s Empowerment.” A book club, film screening and legacy reception are among the events.

Evening of Dance features the choreography of renowned School of Dance faculty artists. This year’s concert will present the work of faculty members Anjali Austin, Tim Glenn, GerriHoulihan, Dan Wagoner, and Jawole Willa Jo Zollar.
Join the African Caribbean Dance Theatre, Inc. in its presentation of the 15th Annual Florida African Dance Festival (FADF) June 7 – 9, 2012 at Tallahassee Community College.   FADF is a 3-day conference that features internationally renowned artists in dance and drum workshops and an exciting performance concert.   Other highlights include special dance workshops for children, marketplace, natural hair show, and health presentations.
Check Your Body at the Door is a documentary about some remarkable underground-House dancers in NYC.  Filmed during the golden decade of the 1990s, it follows a core group of master free-stylists to the clubs, to their jobs and their everyday lives.
